Customer Satisfaction
Acxiom® Corporation
believes the key to having a successful business in todays
complicated IT world is to create and maintain great relationships.
Acxiom strives to make business processes easier for its customers
as well as its own associates. Managing customer relationships
and the information that powers them is paramount to Acxioms
success.
Great Relationships
The award-winning company is headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas,
with operations throughout the United States and in the United Kingdom,
France, Australia and Japan. Acxiom integrates data, services and
technology to create innovative, real-time solutions that improve
customer relationships. Honored for being a great place to work,
having strong customer relationships, being highly innovative and
also considered one of the top technology companies in the US, Acxiom
is widely recognized for putting peoples needs first.
Security Was Key
When the company realized it needed a more comprehensive remote
access offering, Acxiom IT staff looked to Tarantella®
for a solution. Security was the key decision factor, given the
type of applications and services the associates access. Acxiom
also was glad to have a solution that did not require dial-up or
VPN software to be installed on associates' remote devices. Tarantella®
Enterprise 3 software presented one of the simplest, yet most
secure, solutions for remote access available.
Prior to using Tarantella, Acxiom associates and customers
had only two options for accessing information remotely: a VPN or
the traditional dial-up method, both of which limited flexibility
and usually required software to be loaded onto each desktop,
said Malvin Mize, Team Leader of the Hosting and Access Team at
Acxiom Corporation. By using Tarantella, our associates have
immediate access to all applications and information using any device
with a browser. Tarantella was the logical choice for Acxiom and
has allowed us to control network costs and reduce workstation support
fees.
Customization Made the Difference
Acxiom has pushed the envelope on the Tarantella software for over
two years and has continuously found new uses for itself and its
customer base. Acxiom associates have been pleased with the seasoned
Tarantella support staff available to address their key concerns
and individual needs. Although the initial Tarantella implementation
started as an internal project, Acxiom quickly realized the same
application access approach could also be used by its customers
to reach hosted off-the-shelf or proprietary applications. One of
the recognized benefits of Tarantella software was the ability to
customize the product, giving the look and feel of each customers
own network when logging in. By placing Tarantella Linux®
or Solaris servers in the customer DMZ ", the customers
connection becomes transparent, making local application downloads
a thing of the past. Support costs dropped as a result of being
able to leave all of the applications on the Acxiom servers and
not have to deal with the high touch costs of loading
software at multiple sites or on multiple PCs.
Acxiom was impressed with Tarantellas attention to its customer
needs. Acxiom and Tarantella developed a strong business relationship
and over the years Tarantella has incorporated new feature requests
and accommodated customer specific requirements to ensure Acxiom's
ability to satisfy its customer needs.
When the company realized it needed a more
comprehensive remote access offering, Acxiom IT staff looked to
Tarantella for a solution.
